Description
"Lively bright ruby red colour. Mulberry, bitter herbs and pepper spice aromas. Bright red and blue fruits on entry then a damp herbal savoury note with a zip of acidity. Barely medium length, angular tannins and slight sweetness jangle on the finish." - Stuart Knox, The Real Review

- Winemaking
This vintage presented the rare opportunity to co-ferment Shiraz with 9% Viognier, enhancing balance and aromatic lift. The Shiraz from Cowra was rich and ripe, showcasing vibrant redcurrant fruit, while the Viognier, picked earlier, contributed freshness and structure. The result is a well-integrated, complex wine with lifted aromatics and a rounded mid-palate. The co-fermentation process brings depth and finesse, reinforcing why this style remains one of the most expressive and sought-after Rhône-inspired blends.
- Tasting Notes
Intense purple and brick red hue. Notes of redcurrant, leather, black pepper, tobacco, and integrated French oak. Medium to full-bodied wine, with savoury tannins yet a spicy finish.
