2019 Edition Noir Semillon
NSW and Semillon have a longstanding association. This has both introduced many into enjoying white wines, and pushed others away who may not know how to approach Semillon with intent. Grab a bottle of aged Semillon and it will be completely different to a youthful one. Did that wine hail from a maritime climate? From a cooler climate? All will yield notable differences, each with their sought after characteristics.
For 2019, our Semillon has been sourced from here in the Hastings River region and New England. Tropical notes are present with zesty lemon and herbaceous undertones. Medium-bodied, this will pair well with all manner of seafood. In winter, pair with a
creamy seafood carbonara or baked fish with fennel. Any other time - fresh and light seafood with a focus on letting the wine and the meat sing a duet together!
