2018 Edition Noir Shiraz Sangiovese
For the last few years the combination of Shiraz and Sangiovese leaned heavier on the Sangiovese side. This iteration – a different wine altogether – leans heavier on the Shiraz, and for good reason. This full-bodied Autumn red is robust. This is the post-hunt wine back at the fire with the meat on the spit. Hearty meat dishes will love this wine as will the onset of cooler nights and shorter days. The Shiraz is focused and strong with its tannins. The Sangiovese brings that extra bright fruit characters into the mix.
This wine wants to stand on its own at the dinner table. Let it! You will be rewarded with a wine that compliments your meal but also is memorable in its own right.
