It has been 4 years since our last release of a Riesling. Riesling from NSW is in considerable demand and increasing in popularity. We’d bet you wouldn’t have expected that outside of Germany, Australia grows the most Riesling? For the first time we sourced these grapes from the Canberra region and have been pleased with the quality throughout the entire wine’s journey to the bottle. Canberra as a wine region has been incredibly impressive over the last few years. With little meddling or interaction we have fallen in love with the aromatics of this wine – noting citrusy characters so applicable to the Autumn season. Think of pairing this with fresh and local seafood or with zesty chicken dishes as opposed to creamy chicken dishes. This particular Riesling can be enjoyed now but ageing this wine allows it to develop into a fuller experience – so if you can be patient (or just order enough for cellaring + drinking ‘young’) let this sit for a while and the reward will be noteworthy.
