2017 Edition Noir Sangiovese
Bold and unique is only considered as such until it is the norm. This will no doubt soon be the case with Australian Sangiovese. No – it doesn’t have the local heritage that Cabernet or Shiraz do – but it is quickly becoming highly appreciated. Our Sangiovese has always been a hit with our Club Cassegrain members and is often re-ordered – and rightly so!
Lifted savoury fruits with hints of plum and cherry – this wines acidity and sharpness coincide with its tannins to be forward in
taste and finishes consistently – lingering on the palate happily like good memories of old friends.
This savoury wine happily jaunts and dances with many cuisines which is brilliant for the average mid-week ‘what should I cook’
conundrum. Enjoy pairing with herby dishes – ideally meat, but vegetarian options can suit – such as roasted herbed vegetables!
