Hi Carolyn, we just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed having our mother/grandmother's 80th Birthday celebration at Cassegrains in the Seasons Café. I enjoyed lovely tea and cake after going horse riding. Great food and friendly service, Its a great place to relax and enjoy the lovely cake. If you are on a gluten free diet, its a good place to come - good to now see somt gluten free. I come here every time I am in Port, then drop into the winery.

Birthday lunch for a friend, service was outstanding, menu was varied. All 5 of us had a very pleasant and enjoyable meal. I chose escargot for entree, rabbit for main, and a lovely chocolate mousse and strawberry pie. I will definitely put Seasons on the list for a revisit in the future.

My friends and I had a fabulous lunch here over the weekend. We all enjoyed our meals ( meat, seafood and Vegetarian dishes). We tasted weines while waiting for our dishes so we could choose some bottles to enjoy with our lunch. It was lovely atmosphere sitting by the fire on a rainy winters day. The service was spot on and we cant wait to go back!

What a jolly night at Cassegrain Degustation Dinner, “ Taste of Winter” with the fire crackling in the back ground, we started the night with one of our favourites, Blanc De Blanc sparkling. We then meandered down to the wine cellar in 2 different groups, where Alex Cassergrain and Mark Kirkwood explained some of the mysteries of wine making, while we sampled wines going through different stages of fermentation and maturation, directly from the barrels. One wine the 2015 Reserve Shiraz is as good as it gets, It truly is outstanding, we can not wait to get some in our cellar. What followed was a food and wine delight. The plates we saw all went back to the kitchen empty, Cauliflower & Turnip Soup served hot to the table was an achievement on such a chilly night, followed by mussels, Risotto & Mushroom stack, Pistachio crusted lamb cutlets & chocolate fruit compote served with a new creation, to test your taste buds, Hot Chocolate with Cabernet!, a taste sensation. Each course was served with new release wines. On leaving we were given a small gift of local produce, Garlic-Pappinbarra, Yarras radish, Comboyne chilli, Hunter Valley Spring Onion /French Shallots & Brussel Sprouts, to celebrate the Harvest. Congratulations another success story to the Cassegrain and Seasons Team.

We recently organised a function at Seasons restaurant, and everyone reported having a wonderful time when I checked at the end of the evening. The staff went out of their way to accommodate all requests such as vegetarian or gluten-free meals, and advising of the disabled entry on the side near the electric car chargers. We had to supply our own sound system for the guest speakers, but apart from that all our requests were met. There was a welcoming log fire on arrival and a glass of sparkling, wine or beer. The food was delicious and I have never seen a chocolate mousse gobbled up so fast by half the guests at each table. I have no hesitation in recommending Seasons cafe restaurant for your next function. We will certainly be returning next year.

On our way north or south passing Port Macquarie we nearly always stop at Cassegrain wines to pick up a couple of dozen. This time it included a late-ish lunch at Seasons Café Restaurant. Glad we did. We didn’t need anything too heavy as we still had a few hours of travelling to go. The meals were fresh and tasty, the wine (one glass each) were crisp and cold. The staff were a happy lot, and were happy to chat and explain the meal or the wine or even home kitchen renovation ideas. We had already purchased our wine stocks prior to sitting down for lunch, id suggest you may wish to grab a meal at Seasons and try some of the Cassegrain varieties then head down to the cellar for bulk purchases. My advice, whether you are heading up or down the coast, take a break from the road works and stop in for lunch.

We enjoyed a brilliant lunch at Seasons the café at the winery. Started with escargot snails then enjoyed delish special of the day. The waitresses were super helpful in letting us know its cheaper to buy the bottle than 2 glasses of the same wine which is unheard of these days. We also enjoyed yummy cakes and the cutest latte art ive ever seen. Then they sent us down for a wine tasting and tour. Very informative staff in cellar door. We left with a case of wine and very happy soon to be regulars when we make the sea change next month.

We recently got married at Cassegrains and cannot fault Carolyn and her amazing team at Seasons. Carolyn went above and beyond to make our day so special, and all of the food was incredible. Hi Carolyn, Just a note to thank you and your team for hosting the Jaguar tour group to lunch last Friday... The meal you organised was entirely adequate in quantity and quality and was delivered in a very pleasant environment. Everyone had an enjoyable time during the visit and commented favourably to me. (I was surprised at the popularity of the snails though!) The whole six day tour turned out to be a remarkable success relative to other similar Jaguar events and a very enjoyable time was had by all who attended. "It's a pleasure to write that my friends, daughter and I had a wonderful time at the winery last Saturday, 23 April, when we first visited the cellar door where we were looked after professionally and courteously by Matt who was attending to many groups in the same way at that time and not once did he become flustered or treat anyone differently.
From the cellar, we went to the restaurant where we found a wonderful interesting menu and more professional staff. We all chose a different dish and thoroughly enjoyed our meals, plus wine, desert, coffee and hot chocolate. Whilst waiting for our meal, Matt came to the table to make sure we were happy with the choice of menu and wine which we were able to ensure him we were. That was a very nice way of continuing the service provided at Cassegrain.
After our meal, we went back to the cellar door where my friends joined the Wine Club which is not something they've bothered to do before but it was brought about by the level of service by the staff, quality of wines and delicious meals at Cassegrain.
Please feel free to use any part of this email to champion your establishment because I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cassegrain winery and must congratulate you on your management of the restaurant."

It was ready and waiting for us, there was plenty of it, the tea and coffee were a hit as well. The staff in the tasting area were also so friendly and helpful, and the area you put us in was perfect for a group of our size. My apologies for not arriving on time, long delay due to an accident on the highway. However not even that seemed to put your staff out and they were very welcoming.
