"Excellent Day" - 5/5 Reviewed by Aussie M: We had a delightful day here tasting superb wines with the assistance of Cassesgrain employee 'Jenny' who was extremely helpful in her choices of wines that would appeal to us. She even booked a table for us in the restaurant to ensure that we would remain within driving alcohol limits before we left ! Weather was superb and and it was a lovely way to spend a day! The food in the restaurant was lovely , a French twist! Several boxes of wines later to take with us, we completed out visit! Would recommend and felt very satisfied to be buying'Australian'
"Detailed Wine Tour" - 5/5 Reviewed by Jennifer S: We visited Cassegrain Wine Tour today and it has to have been the best tour l have attended. We were shown from start to finish everything that entailed the making, bottling and distributing of the wine.. Then the wine tasting was very interesting, there was no skimping there and each wine we tasted was explained in great detail. The tour conducted by Jenni was informative and such a lovely and cheerful lady. Mat was in the wine cellar door, again so friendly and informative
"Great tasting and lovely helpful staff!" - 5/5 Reviewed by Noah B:We almost drove past this winery in Port Macquarie and fortunately decided to go in and have a little tasting. Great cellar door experience there. Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff! The wines are awesome too. Some quiet modern red and white styles available for tasting which are such a pleasure to drink...
We decided to have a look at the restaurant too and drink a glass of wine for another tasting experience. We've had the 2015 Reserve Shiraz. What an absolutely outstanding wine with great pepper and orange notes, depth and complexity and a long lasting finish! Best Shiraz that we've tasted in Australia.
Also many thanks to Josh, who was extremely helpful with providing information and helping to get some of Cassegrain's great wines!
"Great Wines" - 5/5 Reviewed by Steven R: Just off the Pacific Highway this is a must visit for those who enjoy light tasting wines. Some great choices with reasonable prices fir cellar door sales. Join the wine club for up to 30% savings on wine sales. Good Verdelhos and a great Shiraz. Staff are VERY knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
"Spontaneous Visit" - 5/5 Reviewed by Em B: Locals and never been to Cassegrain's. After visiting the Hunter and a million times asked what we thought of Cassegrain's we decided to stop in for my Birthday. Did not disappoint. Were well looked after in the tasting room by Eugen and again in the Restaurant. Thanks so much for a lovely lunch and visit.
"Amazing wines and service"- 5/5 Reviewed by Vanessa E : We have been to Cassegrain a few times before and it never fails to impress. The wines are always excellent and the service genuinely friendly, good humoured and knowledgeable. The top picks this time for us were Nebbiolo (a sensational light bodied red) and of course the perennially divine Chambourcin! Our six year old loves seeing the koala sculptures and there is a little seat for her to watch her ipad and chew on a giant choccie freckle purchased from the cellar door.
Service Service Service! - 5/5 Reviewed by Nola M : I took overseas visitors to Cassergrain to attend the wine tour as well as dine in the restaurant. When i made the booking i confirmed we would dine at 12.30 and be able to finish for the wine tour at 2 o'clock. The food was excellent, good wait staff, fabulous garlic bread done in an unusual way, plus fresh baguette with a vinaigrette. salads were lovely and fresh, oysters to die for. When we went into the winery at 2pm there was a mix-up with a 2pm tour booking but to his credit Matt checked and then took us on a great tour himself - he really stepped it up! He then conducted a wine tasting and was very impressive with his product knowledge. Another important point is the toilets were very very clean! They also have horse riding on the grounds and you can see the occasional kangaroo. Service is everything in an establishment like this so give Matt a big pat on the back .
"Always a pleasure" - 5/5 Reviewed by Jodee M : My partner and I are regulars, or what Matt might call repeat offenders! at Cassegrain as we often travel to Port macquarie to visit family. This time as part of a Luxury Escape package we were treated to a tour of the winery before tasting some of the wines. Our guide Matt was very informative and a great host, we came away with a few bottles of our usual favourites plus some delicious new ones! Always a great place to stop!
"Great Vineyard and Cafe"- 5/5 Reviewed by Fay and Reville : Best winery tour and tasting we have ever done! Thank you to Jenni and the young man (Mat) who did our tasting. Lunch was just beautiful in the cafe!
