Old Yarrs Tawny Port from CAssegrain Wines

Old Yarras Tawny Port (500ml)

Old Yarras is an aged Tawny Port produced in traditional Australian style and is named after the town of Yarras on the upper reaches of the Hastings River in New South Wales. This is where the French Cassegrain family first settled upon moving to Australia in 1952.

Old Yarras is well matured and very complex. It is tawny amber in colour and the boquet is generous and rich. There is both elegance and depth of flavour on the palate where the sweetness is perfectly balanced by aged brandy spirit. It is ideal with cheese, fruits and coffee after dinner.

Noble Cuvee from Cassegrain Wines

Noble Cuvee

Deep golden in colour, the nose exhibits intense honey, apricot and marmalade notes which follow through onto the palate which is rich and viscous with a refreshing acidic after palate. The strong marmalade and apricot flavours and rich tastes of this wine combines superbly with luscious desserts, richer creamy cheeses and blue cheeses. Drink now or enjoy later.

Cassae from Cassegrain Wines

Cassae (500ml)

Cassae is a unique product in that it is produced from partially fermented grape juice blended with aged brandy spirit. The method of production is similar to that used in the Cognac region of France to produce a product known as Pineau des Charentes.

Each year a portion of material is put aside in French oak casks to age, establishing a solera system similar to that used for the production of fine tawny port and sherry. Cassae is a combination of this aged material with some young fresh material, resulting in a complex sweet wine with a unique flavour.

Cassae should be served either chilled, or over ice and is recommended as an aperitif. It is also equally enjoyable after dinner, served with fresh fruit and cheese.

Once opened, Cassae can be stored refrigerated for several months.
