Each year Cassegrain produces a
select range of Reserve wines ($26-$32) using the best parcels
of grapes from that vintage, with all Reserve wines being aged
in the bottle before release.

Reserve Semillon was sourced from high quality, low yielding
vineyards from the Hunter Valley and Hastings River regions.
This impressive wine is vibrant lemonin colour with a dazzling
golden hue. The bouquet is appealing and intense, delivering
aromas of kaffir lime leaves and lemon meringue. An abundance
of citrus flavours explode on
the palate, entwining with a provocative mix of green apples
and lemon curd that lead to a lengthy mineral finish.

This Semillon is
delicate lemon in colour with a vibrant green hue. Aromas
of roasted bell pepper, sweet paprika, and crushed lemon
leaves follow through to a long and impressive palate. The
concentrated mineral flavour is linear and persistent, enhanced
by subtle honey on the mid-palate, giving the wine a rarely
encountered texture. Enjoy with pan-seared sea scallops
or chilli octopus.

The fruit for the 2008 Fromenteau was sourced solely from cool climate and high altitude vineyards of Tumbarumba. This impressive wine is delicate lemon in colour. The bouquet is restrained, but shows melon and a hint of apple fruit characters intermingled with complexity and subtle oak. The palate is creamy, and full on the front palate with a lingering lengthy mineral finish.

This ménage a trois is deep ruby red in colour with a crimson hue. Generous aromas of cassis, licorice and violets intoxicate the senses. The palate is rich, dense and focused with a mouthful of blackberry, chocolate and sweet cedary oak. Soft sexy and juicy tannins coat the mouth and lead to a lingering finish.
