Premium range ($16-$20), which features the striking white and silver
circled labels, offers a diverse portfolio of distinctive and elegant
wines. This portfolio includes the core wines Semillon, Unwooded
Chardonnay, Verdelho Chardonnay, Chambourcin, Shiraz and Merlot
Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines are complemented by our Limited
Release range including Riesling, Rose, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir and
Durif, that assist Cassegrain in evolving distinctive wine styles
in line with its philosophy of innovation in wines. |

Region
Hastings River
This Semillon
is pale straw in colour with a vibrant green hue. Aromas
of kaffir lime leaves and lemon meringue explode on the decadant nose. The palate has excellent length
with a provocative mix of passionfruit pulp, green apples
and lime zest. Lemon sherbert follows through with
an infusion of green herbaceous characters.
Enjoy now as a lively young wine, or cellar for up to 5 years to experience a rich, opulent Semillon.

2007 Verdelho
Region
New South Wales
This delicate pale
straw Verdelho, sourced from fruit grown in selected New South Wales wine growing regions, displays complex aromas of
guava, lime and jasmine. A concentrated mouthfeel of tropical
fruits is delivered on the palate, with flavours of lychees,
honeydew melon and lashings of rose petals. These flavours
linger on the long fresh palate with lemon like acidity.
Enjoy now as a young fresh wine with salt and pepper squid.

This pale gold
Chardonnay exhibits generous aromas of spicy pear and
nectarine, combined with a lashing of buttery oak. The
palate displays green apple and fig flavours that unfold
gracefully to a creamy, yet minerally finish.

This elegant Shiraz is deep ruby red in colour with a brilliant violet hue. Enticing aromas of ripe blood plums, vanilla bean and espresso mingle with earthy tones of mocha and blackberry. The palate is rich and ripe, with fine-grained tannins wrapped around a core of mulberries, licorice and dark chocolate.

2007 Merlot Cabernet

Hunter Valley and Northern Slopes
This
wine is dark plum in colour with an intense crimson hue. Aromas
of ripe black cherries, mocha and sweet stewed rhubarb give
this wine an enticing bouquet. The palate delivers concentrated
flavours of redcurrants, espresso and mulberries, entwined
with firm chewy tannins that linger.
Drink now or age to develop further wine complexity and balance. |
