CASSEGRAIN WINES
NAMED AS THE EXCLUSIVE WINE SUPPLIER TO SYDNEY OLYMPIC PARK SPORTS CENTRE
Cassegrain Wines was today officially appointed as the EXCLUSIVE wine supplier to Sydney Olympic Park sports Centre.
The submission put forward to the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre highlighted the fact that Cassegrain Wines enjoy the benefit of being able to focus on selected high quality wines that have limited exposure to any major discounting. The winery has been selected, following submissions from numerous other Australia wide producers, to provide high quality wines for the duration on a 5 year contract term.
Cassegrain Wines prides itself on being a boutique and niche producer. The winery is constantly increasing in popularity in today’s domestic market. This is due, in part, to recent accolades we have received such as those in the most recent James Halliday Wine Companion where Cassegrain Wines was identified as one of the prestigious 10 DARK HORSES OF 2008. This is a highly subjective selection of ten wineries who have excelled over the last 12 months. James Halliday, a renowned wine writer, quotes “John Cassegrain is now producing a wide range of wines from a wide variety of trendy alternatives to produce wines that are full flavoured yet soft and elegant”.
John Cassegrain states, “This accolade adds substance to the Journey of Flavour program which the region has recently embarked on. This will provide a link for promotion of events at Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre as well as a quality venue for Club Cassegrain Members – a high percentage who now reside in the Sydney metropolitan area - and Journey of Flavour participants to utilize for future events”.
“Our contemporary and spacious Cellar Door – located right on the Pacific Highway, half way between Sydney and Brisbane – attracts more than 50,000 visitors each year and is yet another opportunity where both Cassegrain and the other Journey of Flavour participants can promote our region”
“With a number of major events forthcoming to both the Winery and the local area, this will be a major attraction to entice people to visit the Greater Port Macquarie Region” said John Cassegrain.
