Iron Man 2008 Patrick Vernay meets John Cassegrain

Cassegrain Wines was once again one of the local sponsors of the Iron Man 2008.

This is the third year that Cassegrain Wines has sponsored what can only be described as a truly inspiring sport and a great community event. Like no other event in the Hastings this brings together people of all ages. Whether you are in the event or not, it really is electric - all volunteers return each year as do all sponsors.

This year Cassegrain also adopted an athlete and a good match for us was of course French speaking Patrick Vernay and last year’s winner. Patrick is a school teacher from New Caledonia and this year he successfully defended his title by winning Iron Man 2008.

Like a good wine that keeps you coming back for more we hope that Patrick will return to the foreshores of Port Macquarie!
